Commercial/MEI Study Planning · Source-checked
ACS-guided oral prep and MEI planning
Learning goals
- Use ACS tasks to organize study
- Plan MEI study with the Flight Instructor ACS
The ACS lists areas of operation and tasks, each with knowledge, risk management and skill elements. Turn each element into a question you can answer aloud and a reference you can point to. That is your oral preparation — original to you, not a commercial question bank.
For instructor goals, the Flight Instructor – Airplane ACS (FAA-S-ACS-25) applies, and its additional-rating tables show what applies for a multiengine instructor rating. Eligibility and experience for instructor ratings are set in Part 61; confirm them in the eCFR with your instructor before planning a timeline.
